:::: [ Promises ] ::::
I had a rotten lunch today. I was actually looking forward to eating at Long John Silvers for lunch but things turned out differently. But I'm glad to have the company of ah xiang and jia min even though I wasn't really good company. The reason: Disappointment. I don't really blame her coz I know she has to pay for someone else's share. But, she already made a promise last week. I still remembered how it went. "Promise me we will go there eat one day next week" and she said yes. I guess we can only go next week but suddenly I don't feel like eating there anymore. I understand when u say u have no money. But since we made the promise last week, there was time to save.
To me, a promise is meant to be kept, otherwise it isn't one. I don't mind people breaking promises once, but repeatedly? tht is one thing i cannot accept.
well, my lunch was rotten because it was really spicy. As friends know, I will seldom take spicy food. But, its my fault also because I forgot to tell them so, can't blame them. I'm not really angry now because its over. Anyway, I will not let such a minor thing affect my friendship.
I just hope promises made can be kept.
